JOB DESCRIPTION: In Command. Oversees all vessel operations, safety, and management.

WORK EXPERIENCE: At age twelve, Bryan started working on his stepfather’s lobster boat and by nineteen was captain of a fishing boat himself. Apart from a two-year break to backpack through Europe and Africa, he has been at sea ever since. Bryan made the transition from fishing and commercial vessels to yachts in 2001. Since that time, he has filled the rolls of both captain and chief engineer on different vessels. Bryan has been captain of Surina for the past seven years. Bryan’s wealth of experience helps to ensure your safety and enjoyment while onboard Surina.

EDUCATION/LICENSES: Master Class 4, Panamanian Master 500gt and MED 2.

PREVIOUS YACHTS: Sharon Ann, Namoh, Brazil, Loose Ends and Symposia.

WATERS CRUISED: New Zealand, Western Australia, South Pacific, Caribbean, Mediterranean, Central America, Colombia (including the Panama Canal), West Coast of Canada, and East and West Coasts of the U.S. and Mexico (including Alaska).

HOBBIES: Jetboating, rugby and traveling.
